ONSET

Clinic Portal

Protocol organization for clinics

A clinic portal for organizing supplement protocols with patients.

Onset Clinic helps practitioners create structured routines, invite patients into a shared workspace, and view patient-shared adherence and lab information from the Onset app.

Privacy is part of the product architecture. Even where Onset Clinic is not acting as a HIPAA-covered EHR, we use SHIELD safeguards, encryption, hashed lookup, consent controls, and audit trails to protect clinics and the patients who choose to share information.

Onset Clinic is an organization and information tool. Patient data sharing is controlled by the patient in the Onset app.

Clinic dashboard

One workspace for protocols, patients, labs, and team access.

Protocol builder

Per-supplement schedule, dose, duration, and instructions.

Patient directory

Connection status, active protocols, and recent shared updates.

Team roles

Invite practitioners and staff to your clinic workspace.

Consent history

Audit and export controls aligned with patient sharing.

Features

Built around clinic workflow and patient control.

Structured protocol organization

Build supplement routines with per-item timing, duration, notes, and review status.

Patient workspace

Invite patients, assign protocols, and view the data they choose to share from Onset.

Import and export workflows

Upload paper protocols for assisted extraction, then export protocols for clinic records.

Consent-led sharing

Patient-controlled sharing, audit visibility, and export controls are built into the workflow.

Workflow

From paper protocols to a shared patient routine.

Create protocols manually, import a paper document for review, or use templates as a starting point. Patients can accept a practitioner protocol in the Onset app and decide what information to share.

1

Create your clinic profile

Set up your clinic details and invite team members.

2

Invite patients with a connection code

Patients redeem the code in the Onset app and control sharing.

3

Assign protocols and track shared updates

Use the portal to keep protocol records and patient-shared updates organized.

Privacy + SHIELD

Built to safeguard clinic workflows and patient-shared data.

HIPAA is not the only privacy bar that matters. Onset Clinic is designed as a supplement protocol organization and information tool, and SHIELD adds practical safeguards around identity, consent, access history, and patient data handling.

Encrypted PII

Patient identifiers are encrypted before storage.

Reduced plaintext exposure

Email lookup uses hashes instead of readable email search.

Consent visibility

Shared data is tied to patient-controlled permissions.

Support IDs

Technical IDs support troubleshooting without exposing patient names.

Current safeguards

Security measures in place today
Measure
How it protects users
Status
Patient PII encryption
Patient names, emails, and notes are stored as AES-256-GCM encrypted values before they reach the database.
Implemented
Blind email lookup
Patient matching uses a SHA-256 email hash, so duplicate checks do not require plaintext email search.
Implemented
Privacy service boundary
Production can route encrypt, decrypt, batch decrypt, and hash operations through a separate privacy vault service.
Supported
Patient-controlled sharing
Adherence, labs, and check-in visibility are gated by the patient connection and consent settings in Onset.
Implemented
SHIELD audit trail
Provider access and practitioner consent events are written to dedicated SHIELD audit tables for reviewability.
Implemented
Tenant and role controls
Clinic users are scoped by clinic account metadata, practitioner records, team roles, and removed-user checks.
Implemented
Database access rules
Supabase Row Level Security and hardened RPCs limit patient, protocol, lab, and sharing access paths.
Implemented
Operational safeguards
Sensitive mutation endpoints use server-side auth checks, scoped patient lookups, service-role isolation, and rate limits.
Implemented

Onset Clinic is not a replacement for a clinic's own compliance program, policies, or legal review. The product is built to minimize exposed patient data and preserve a reviewable access trail.

Affiliate Network

Share Onset access with clinic attribution.

Clinics can connect an Insert Affiliate short code in the portal and use generated links when sharing Onset with patients, team members, or external channels. The link keeps attribution attached through the standard ia parameter.

Affiliate setup

Create or connect an Insert Affiliate account, then add the clinic short code in Settings.
